New McGregor Blvd. Neighborhood, “Carleton” Receives City Approval
Fort Myers, Florida (PRWEB) June 22, 2016 -- Worthington of Carleton, LLC received final approval Monday afternoon, from the Fort Myers City Council for Carleton, a community of ten residential estate lots located along McGregor Boulevard, ½ mile north of Colonial Boulevard and ½ mile south of Fort Myers Country Club. McGregor Boulevard is Fort Myers’ royal palm lined signature roadway, which connects downtown Fort Myers to the beaches, and is Fort Myers’ highly sought after residential address.
According to residential expert Denny Grimes, “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity: to buy a half acre lot and build a new home - on a street with all new homes and underground utilities – along McGregor Boulevard, north of Colonial. It may never happen again.”
The new Carleton community is located on an oak covered 8+ acres along McGregor Boulevard. Carleton will have only ten residential home sites, ranging from approximately .5 acres to .8 acres. The proposed site-development plan includes: an authentic brick street lined with royal palms and mature landscaping and an oak tree lined landscape buffer along McGregor Boulevard. Architectural guidelines, site plan and initial home site pricing will be finalized this week to be ready for release to the public at the onset of site construction scheduled to commence the first week of July.
Carleton is being offered by Worthington of Carleton, LLC, a related entity of The Worthington Group of Southwest Florida, an award winning local residential group headed by principals, John Gnagey and Jeff Darragh, whose previous master-planned communities include: Worthington Country Club, Lexington Country Club, Vanderbilt Country Club and The Club at Renaissance.
Jeff Darragh, spokesperson and member of the development team explained, “Our vision for this unique property has been to keep the density low, develop the site with the same elements in keeping with the historical McGregor Boulevard streetscapes and hold off releasing the home sites to the public for sale until all approvals and permits for the proposed site development are forthcoming. Monday’s Zoning Approval is a keystone event for us. There are only 10 home sites. We expect they will move quickly. Builders have already lined up for them”
Added, team member, John Gnagey: “While the property was zoned to allow 60+ units, we knew that this last vacant property along McGregor, should be limited to a small number of large residential lots and our design of Carleton truly preserves the location, character and history of the McGregor Boulevard corridor.”
