New Partnership Between Suntico and SEDA College Ensures Everybody Wins
Dublin, Ireland (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- SEDA’s Internship Program gives its students the opportunity to get work experience and improve their English language skills in an Irish company. SEDA places students in internships lasting from 4 weeks up to 6 months in the areas of IT, sales and marketing, accounting and administration, hospitality, media and design, architecture and engineering, customer service and other areas.
Suntico was approached by Viktor Posudnevsky, Internship Program Co-ordinator, towards the end of 2013 to explore the possibilities of working together.
Viktor explains how students benefit from the Internship Program:
“This is an additional service offered to all of our students and the idea is to make their experience of learning English better. Experience of working in a professional setting, where they improve all their skills, including English language skills, is very valuable when they return home.”
To date, Suntico has benefited from the skills of four SEDA students in the areas of programming, IT infrastructure, marketing and data analysis. As the students are in college, Suntico is entirely flexible regarding their working hours.
Alan Bothwell, Head of Operations and Customer Service at Suntico, discusses the Suntico approach to internships:
“We try to match the student’s skill set to real and valuable projects. Students have worked on projects like the knowledge base for our application, API integrations and developing and ongoing analysis of marketing KPIs. The students with whom we have worked are highly educated and skilled professionals and they help create Suntico’s multi-cultural and vibrant working environment. Needless to say, at the end of their internship, if a relevant paid position is available, then obviously they would be a front runner for that job.”
Looking to the future, as Suntico becomes available in other markets, having a multi-lingual team is very beneficial.
