New Radio Program Puts Biblical Principles and Finances Together
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- There are many teachings on money and the principles that govern its use, and plenty of books, radio personalities and self-help programs to teach those principles to the public. This month, there is a new player in town: a new radio show called “Christian Financial Today,” airing weekly at 10 a.m. on Saturdays on AM630 KSLR. It’s a show sponsored by Christian Financial Services, a San Antonio non-profit that specializes in financial education for all of the city’s residents, from those experiencing homelessness to those building businesses and others interested in credit building and debt repair. Christian Financial Services isn’t just a name either; they use real biblical principles of teaching in order to highlight what the Christian Bible teaches about financial management.
“There are over 2,300 verses in the Bible pertaining to finances,” says Brandon Curry, CEO of Christian Financial. “If you want to compare that, there are about 500 verses on prayer and less than 500 on faith. That suggests there is a very strong connection between people’s spiritual and financial health, and we find that to be true in the counseling sessions and education we perform.”
Christian Financial Services has been in San Antonio since 1995 and are celebrating 20 years of services to San Antonio this year. They have been on local radio before, including guest spots on KDRY, KSLR, and their own weekly show on STAR AM 830. Those shows were hosted by CFS’s now retired founders, Ed Stevens and Chuck Curry, and consisted of the two men answering questions from callers or the station personalities. The new show is hosted by now-CEO Brandon Curry and is a straight forward talk format.
“We hope to deal with specific issues of biblical financial principle as they apply to the day-to-day lives of our listeners,” Curry says. “Topics include home-buying principles, how to make money decisions, paying off debt, tithing, and a whole host of others. We have no shortage of topics when it comes to finance!”
Christian Financial Today airs at 10 a.m. Saturdays on AM630 KSLR. To sponsor the program, donate to the ministry, or make an appointment, contact the CFS office at 210-341-5911 or get to them online at christianfinancialservicestx.com and facbook.com/christianfinancialservices.
