New Ultra Low Shrinkage Ultratemp-AL Calcium Silicate Board for Molten Aluminum Applications
Ontario, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2015 -- Foundry Service and Supplies, Inc. announce with great pleasure their new product Ultratemp-AL, a high strength, low shrinkage, low thermal conductivity, non-wetting carbon fiber reinforced insulating calcium silicate board designed for molten aluminum applications. This board is noncombustible, asbestos free and able to withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 1560 F (849 C).
Ultratemp-AL provides prolonged resistance to cracking and disintegration from thermal cycling or the action of liquid metal flow, which reduces the risk of inclusions and casting contamination.
The new Ultratemp-AL is receiving rave reviews from customers who are impressed by its high strength, dimensional integrity, increased resistance to oil penetration, increased productivity and consistent product quality.
Customers like that it has minimal shrinkage after heating. Low shrinkage makes it ideal for various molten aluminum contact applications including transition plates, caster tips, skim dams, trough dams and components, launder sections, floats and spouts.
Ultratemp-AL is resistant to chemical attack and can be easily machined into high definition, tight-tolerance parts with excellent smooth non-porous surfaces.
Foundry Service and Supplies is inviting customers to send them a drawing of the transition plate they want to trial and they will provide them with two plates at no charge. “We only ask that they keep a record of their use from start to finish and report it to us as available,” said Joel W. Leathers, vice-president/managing partner.
The Ultratemp-AL is manufactured under an ISO-9001:2000 registered quality system and competitively priced.
For standard dimensions, more information or to inquiry about a trial of the Ultratemp-AL, please contact Foundry Service and Supplies, Inc. at 909.284.5000.
