NO ASYLUM, New Documentary Film, Features Buddy Elias, Last Relative of Anne Frank
Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWEB) March 22, 2015 -- Buddy Elias sadly has just passed away, he selflessly dedicated his life to keeping the legacy of his cousin, Anne Frank, alive. Anne Frank died 70 years ago this week, in Bergen Belsen Camp, just days before liberation. We celebrate Buddy’s life - he was deeply treasured by all and his legacy will live on, as will his tireless work for the Anne Frank Fonds.
The film, NO ASYLUM, reveals the unknown chapter of Anne Frank’s life, detailing how her father, Otto, struggled to obtain visas to save their family from the Holocaust. The world turned its back on the Franks, according to the film. Buddy Elias worked for Holocaust education, and fought prejudice and discrimination, spreading Anne’s message of tolerance as she wrote about in her diary. View the NO ASYLUM film trailer.
NO ASYLUM is relevant today due to the ongoing hate incidents plaguing our world. 70 years later, Anne Frank's words still ring true. NO ASYLUM is produced in association with the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York, in whose archives the letters of Otto Frank were discovered. RO*CO Films is representing NO ASYLUM at MIP and MIPDOC in April 2015.
