Novel Tells Story of Beggar as He Tries to Survive Hardships
BRACKNELL, England (PRWEB) January 29, 2018 -- Dr. Prem Kutowaroo’s latest novel titled “The Streetwalker and the Odd Shoe z`” (published by AuthorHouse UK) is based on the true story of a man who makes his living working the streets of London as a beggar. Kutowaroo met the man by the cemetery all alone, hungry and shivering. By chance, the man was willing to talk about his life, hence, he was able to pen a fictionalized account of the man’s interesting life.
According to Kutowaroo, the book concerns a streetwalker whose life had been a challenging one. The person involved was forced to go onto the street because of the treatment he had received at the hands of his father. He spent his life mostly in London.
“(My book) will help people with the same problem and how they are able to face them,” says Kutowaroo. Readers are invited to witness the life of the streetwalker as he tries to survive the hardships he encounters and hopes to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
An excerpt from the book:
Mark was being abused by his own father for reasons he had yet to find out. When he reached the age of fourteen and was still being abused, he thought enough was enough. He had no option but to leave home, though he had no specific destination.
As he left, he had two links to remind him of home. First, there was his half-brother, who’d become attached to him. Yet he could not help Mark during his bad days, and neither was he able to keep in touch with him. The second link was an ornamental shoe, which played an important role in his life.
