NWA Media to Host Northwest Arkansas’ Largest Yard Sale
Little Rock, AR (PRWEB) February 24, 2014 -- NWA Media, along with 121 Digital Marketing, will host Northwest Arkansas’ Largest Yard Sale from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
The community event will feature yard sale items from hundreds in the community who will have individual booth space to show their treasures, junk, home decor, clothing, baby items, kids’ toys and more. Commercial vendors, including home-based businesses, area retailers, flea marketers and antique dealers will also be on hand with special deals, unique finds and collectibles. In the spirit of great deals on previously loved items, area auto dealers will also have a vast selection of pre-owned vehicles for visitors to see some of the prices on inventory that dealers want to move.
This day-long event will also feature an amateur barbecue contest and a special area for kids, filled with “bouncy castles” and other fun inflatables, sure to burn some energy. Dozens of food vendors will offer a tasty array of breakfast, snacks and lunch to keep visitors fueled throughout the day.
Early bird admission (6:30-8 a.m.) is $5. Regular admission is $3 and kids are free. NWA Media is the publisher of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Northwest Arkansas Times, Benton County Daily Record, Springdale Morning News and the Rogers Morning News, all of which will be publishing frequent free admission coupons as a perk for readers.
“This event is about bringing the community together and thanking the area for their support and patronage to the daily newspaper,” said event director Crystal Costa. “The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is a regular source for yard sale listings and great deals from area retailers. We thought it would be fun to bring this all together for a community event.”
Yard salers will also be helping the Potter’s House, a local charity. If they don’t sell their items, they can avoid the hassle of packing up unwanted items and allow staff from Potter’s House to take it and help families throughout Northwest Arkansas. Additionally, equitable non-perishable items will be accepted at the gates in lieu of the $3 admission fee. These items will be donated to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
NWA Media is currently reserving space for the public, vendors and auto dealers. Yard sale space for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette subscribers starts at $30. Non-subscribers pay $70 for an outdoor space, but the fee comes with a three-month subscription to the daily paper.
