Obituary.us.org Seeking Non-Profit Groups to Support
Tallahassee, FL (PRWEB) August 15, 2013 -- Obituary.us.org is in the process of seeking out reliable non-profit groups that support cancer research, the company announced yesterday.
“We think that it is important for every company to give back to the community when they can,” an Obituary.us.org spokesman said. “We have been very successful with our site so far, and feel that the time is right to be a good corporate citizen.”
Obituary.us.org is looking for organizations where the vast majority of their donations go directly to funding cancer research and not to administrative salaries, he said.
“Our goal is to make sure that our financial support does as much good as possible,” the Obituary.us.org spokesman said. “We want to make sure that we find the best and most responsible non-profit groups we can.”
Obituary.us.org is also asking their customers for suggestions about possible groups to fund, he said.
“Our customers may be more aware than we are of non-profit groups that do good work,” he said. “We welcome any suggestions they may have for us about who we should support with our donations.”
Obituary.us.org said they expected to spend roughly a month evaluating non-profit groups and begin their donations process in late September.
“This will be a long-term project,” he said. “It's not a quick hit. It's a part of how we want to operate for years to come.”
