Oculoplastics Surgeon Adds Vital Services to Union Square Eye Care
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2015 -- Union Square Eye Care (USEC) is extremely proud to welcome Yogita Kashyap, MD to its group of eye care professionals. And what is it that Dr. Kashyap brings to USEC, you ask? Dr. Kashyap brings her expertise in the field of oculoplastics, a subspecialty practiced by a small group of eye care professionals (fewer than 20 oculoplastic surgeons are credentialed in this country every year).
Oculoplastics encompasses a wide range of services, consisting of procedures that deal with the orbit, eyelids, tear ducts, and face. This can mean anything from the repair of a droopy eyelid to the surgical removal of an eyelid bump to cosmetic procedures like Botox injections. Union Square Eye Care will be offering FDA approved fillers to be administered on-site.
Dr. Kashyap received her MD from SUNY Downstate, then did her ophthalmology residency training at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in NYC, where she remained for an advanced fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Kashyap also volunteers annually with the Volunteer Health Program at the Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC) in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She’s very much looking forward to bringing oculoplastics to USEC.
Led by H. Jay Wisnicki, MD, Union Square Eye Care is affiliated with Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center and The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. The group provides world-class eye-care for an extremely wide range of ophthalmologic problems including (but not limited to): glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, strabismus, cataracts, retinal disease, and - now - oculoplastics. Using the latest diagnostic, treatment, and medical record technologies, USEC completes a comprehensive solution for eye care.
