OsirisMethod.com Releases New FFXIV Patch 2.2 Guide
(PRWEB) March 24, 2014 -- OsirisMethod.com is pleased to announce the publication of a brand new guide to the upcoming FFXIV 2.2 patch. The full guide can be found at http://www.osirismethod.com/ffxiv-patch-2-2/.
With the release of the 2.2 patch, Final Fantasy XIV is poised to change as much as it has since the release of the game on August 27th, 2013. The new guide published at OsirisMethod.com helps players understand these new changes and provides them with information on how to navigate the new content.
According to the guide's creator, Cody Collins, the biggest change of the new patch is the introduction of a new form of in-game currency known as Tomestones of Soldiery. Tomestones of Soldiery will be used by players to purchase new top of the line equipment. The former premium currency, Tomestones of Mythology, will still be in existence, but no longer used to purchase the best equipment in the game. Tomestones of Philosophy, the original form of premium in-game currency, will be removed entirely from the game. According to the new guide, Tomestones of Philosophy can be exchanged for Tomestones of Mythology with the release of the new patch.
As noted by the new guide, players will be able to earn this currency from the new Lost City of Amdapor Keep dungeon. The guide published by OsirisMethod.com makes note of how players will be able to unlock the dungeon as well as what will be required for players to enter it.
Collins further mentions that one of the new important aspects of the new patch that seems to be have slipped most publications' and players' notice are the new options for spending Grand Company seals. According to the guide, players are able to accrue up to 50,000 seals, but up until this patch, advanced players had little on which to spend these seals. The new patch introduces a number of valuable items that can be purchased with seals, such as crafting materials and venture credits. According to Collins, venture credits will be particularly sought after by adventurers as these are required to fund the new retainer missions.
