PayScale Announces Future of Work Scholarship Contest
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) November 04, 2016 -- PayScale, Inc., the world's leading provider of on-demand compensation data and software today announced its latest scholarship program, “The Future of Work.”
The Future of Work scholarship will award two $2,000 awards based upon an applicant’s 250-500 word response to the following essay questions:
- How do companies need to evolve to meet the needs of their employees in the future?
- What do you think is the most critical challenge in the field of human resources? Why?
- What would you do to address it to ensure both employees and your organization thrive?
- Why you chose to pursue a degree in Human Resources? How would you use your degree in HR to impact the industry in a positive way?
The scholarship contest commences on November 4, 2016 and closes May 30, 2017 at 11:59pm.
The Future of Work scholarship is open to college-bound high school seniors and current college students who are majoring in a human-resources-related field and who want to change the workforce for the better.
“At PayScale, our core values are that compensation should be fair, transparent and modern. This scholarship will be awarded to the students who intend to take action on these beliefs beyond college and into their professional career. We believe that these core values help to establish a more positive culture and workforce that is happy, fair and productive,” said Lydia Frank, VP of Content Strategy, PayScale.
“Human Resources personnel play such an important role in the success of any organization; as the workforce has evolved, so has the role of HR professionals. This scholarship, focused on how people in HR will improve the workforce in the future, is based on PayScale’s own beliefs that employees and employers can gain from a more transparent, modern and fair process. We are excited to provide this new offer to both current and college-bound high school seniors.”
In addition to the Future of Work scholarship, PayScale also offers the annual Women in STEM scholarship to encourage young women to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. The STEM scholarship will open to applicants again in May of 2017.
