Penn Foster Announces Pharmacy Tech Advisory Council, Names Six Members
Scranton, PA (PRWEB) March 30, 2016 -- Penn Foster Career School, a provider of diploma and certificate programs designed to augment learners’ skills to increase employability for in-demand fields, today named six industry experts as members of the school’s Pharmacy Technician Advisory Council. The creation of this Advisory Council signals the school’s intent to formalize the role of industry experts in the design of its Pharmacy Technician program to meet ever-evolving requirements in this profession. The Penn Foster Pharmacy Technician program has grown rapidly in recent years, with over 3,000 active students taking advantage of the online, self-paced program. Tuition for the Penn Foster Career School’s program includes a voucher for the PTCE practice test and sponsorship for the PTCE itself, as well as hands-on training through externships with CVS/pharmacy and Walgreens.
There are more than 350,000 pharmacy technician jobs in the United States, and employment in this fast-growing healthcare career is expected to increase 9% between now and 2024.
