PhyMed Healthcare Group Implements Medaxion Pulse EHR
(PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- PhyMed Healthcare Group has completed its Tennessee implementation of the Medaxion® Pulse Platform, a leading anesthesia electronic health record (EHR) and information management system. The new technology will support PhyMed’s continuing expansion and quality improvement projects and clinical care excellence initiatives.
PhyMed’s adoption of this EHR technology increases efficiencies throughout its multistate network by standardizing practice, improving data capture, streamlining staffing and scheduling, and enhancing clinical documentation. The Medaxion platform allows PhyMed providers to meet and may exceed the Meaningful Use requirements of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The Medaxion Pulse Platform was designed specifically for anesthesia and runs on the iPhone, iPad and iPad Mini and is certified for Meaningful Use as a 2014 Edition Modular Ambulatory EHR in accordance with the ONC Health IT Certification Program.*
“What truly convinced us to go with Medaxion was the maturity of the solution and strong feedback from our clinical leaders regarding its user-friendliness,” said Ryan Dorr, PhyMed's Chief Information Officer. “Another factor was flexibility — Medaxion was able to tailor the system to match our communication and documentation needs.”
PhyMed’s first Medaxion implementation has been completed with Nashville-based Anesthesia Medical Group (AMG), the largest anesthesia practice in Tennessee. The company is actively rolling out the solution at major hospitals and healthcare systems within its Tennessee, Kentucky and Pennsylvania markets.
“It's extremely gratifying that we were selected by PhyMed Healthcare Group, we are pleased to be working with such a great partner,” said Jeff McLaren, Chief Executive Officer, Medaxion, Inc. “With over 400 active provider users we have demonstrated the ease with which our industry-leading system can be utilized by providers and adopted by practices. PhyMed's implementation showcases our ability to advance practice clinical, quality, financial and resources management objectives.”
“Selection of the right technology remains critical to our continued success,” said Dr. Frederick Miller, Chief Executive Officer of PhyMed Healthcare Group. “We are committed to identifying and implementing the most advanced technologies in order to provide superior patient care. Medaxion provides a solution which supports our national expansion.”
