PlateSmart Partners With CWPS, Secures Position as Official Federal Vendor
OLDSMAR, FL (PRWEB) June 22, 2015 -- PlateSmart, the award-winning creator of the industry’s most innovative security solutions based on License Plate Recognition (LPR), is now able to offer its products for sale without bid to any Federal agency through its recently-forged partnership with IT firm CWPS. As the recent recipient of a highly coveted contract under the Federal government’s fifth Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement program, also known as SEWP V, CWPS provides a direct sales channel for PlateSmart’s solutions to Federal agencies.
Based in Chantilly, Virginia, CWPS has long been recognized as one of the IT industry’s leading players, specializing in managed IT, voice, and data protection services. CWPS offers its clients, which can be found at all levels of both the private and public sectors, one of the widest varieties of solutions available in both on-premise and cloud-hosted configurations.
The SEWP V program, which is administered by NASA, is designed specifically to enable the acquisition of state-of-the-art technology solutions for a variety of different applications in the Federal government sector. Among these applications is physical security, a realm in which PlateSmart has repeatedly proven itself to be one of the most prominent leaders. PlateSmart is a particularly well-respected brand among Federal agencies; in 2013, the Company was awarded a sole-source contract with the Department of the Navy’s Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The Undersecretary of the Navy stated at that time that PlateSmart was the only Company capable of meeting the organization’s LPR needs. PlateSmart went on to win two back-to-back Platinum Govies awards in 2014 and 2015 for excellence in government security technology.
In addition to the unparalleled LPR accuracy, flexibility, and affordability for which PlateSmart’s line of LPR-based analytics products are known, the Company will also be able to offer Federal agencies the state of the art in data integrity protection. PlateSmart is currently in the process of adding a comprehensive audit trail feature set to its ARES engine that will keep a complete and detailed record of all data inquiries so that administrators are always aware of how the system is being used and by whom. Additionally, ARES will also feature automatic redaction technology that “scrubs” irrelevant personal data from the results of any information request. These features will make ARES the industry standard gatekeeper for all sensitive data queries, whether the data was originally gathered by PlateSmart technology or not. Put simply, the government will have in ARES an incomparable tool for data inquiry and analysis that reveals criminal and terrorist activity and simultaneously protects the personal data of innocent citizens.
“The SEWP V program is the best and fastest way to get this invaluable technology into the hands of the government security agencies that need it most,” PlateSmart CEO John Chigos said. “We chose to work with CWPS as our gateway to the program because they have a reputation in the government sector for only offering the best technology solutions available. With CWPS as our partner, our Federal customers will instantly know that they are getting the most reliable, robust, secure, and affordable LPR-based analytics products on the market.”
“CWPS is very excited to partner with PlateSmart Technologies to offer their cutting edge License Plate Recognition products on our SEWP V contract,” said Pat DuLaney, SEWP Program Manager for CWPS. “The CWPS – PlateSmart team understands the Federal government’s demand for innovative security solutions that are customizable, readily available and easily procured. This partnership offers the Federal customer the technology they need accessible on the most efficient and cost effective contract vehicle available.”
