Prescott Launches New Campaign With Sweepstakes
Prescott, AZ (PRWEB) September 01, 2016 -- The Prescott Office of Tourism has launched a new campaign encouraging all Americans to use their vacation days. The “Take Another Day” campaign focuses on encouraging working Americans to use the time they have and not let it go to waste.
American employees forfeited 222 million vacation days in 2015, according to Project Time Off. Everyone has reasons for not asking for an extra day off, whether it be fear of missing out, disappointing the boss or supervisor, fear of what others will say and think, the list goes on and on. But, the U.S. Travel Association has launched a campaign to encourage the use of vacation days and asked destinations across the country to pitch in and help. The City of Prescott’s Office of Tourism has answered the call.
By creating the “Take Another Day” campaign, they will focus on encouraging everyone with unused days to take another one- a Friday or a Monday and add it to their weekend, a Tuesday or a Wednesday and enjoy a mid-week escape. The options are endless.
The “Take Another Day” campaign features a website at http://www.takeanotherday.com, a sweepstakes component on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/visitprescott, which provides interested fans the opportunity to enter to win a Prescott escape to be given away in September, November, and one in January, as well as a digital marketing piece to promote the idea and encourage employees to go ahead and take another day.
Visitors can find ideas about where to escape for a romantic reconnection with their significant other, get outside and explore the outdoor recreation opportunities, check out a restaurant they’ve been curious about, shop for the perfect souvenir, and stay for some extra sleep.
The Prescott Office of Tourism, working together with the Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) members, are tasked with making predictions for the upcoming seasons, how to increase tax numbers, and bring business to the area. Don Prince, Director of the Office of Tourism, stated about the campaign, “After attending the Governor’s Conference on Tourism last month, it became clear that we have a market that needs to be tapped into- working Americans with vacation days to use. Together with my team we created this campaign to bring a buzz about how to escape to Prescott by taking another day, enter to win one of three really cool vacations, and bring more excitement about the city of Prescott. We can’t wait to share it with everyone and we hope we see more people choosing to go ahead and take another day.”
The “Take Another Day” campaign launched Friday, August 19, and will continue through early winter of 2017. For more information please visit http://www.takeanotherday.com or call Don Prince at 928-777-1221.
