Price Rite Voluntarily Recalls Price Rite Ground Cumin
Keasbey, NJ (PRWEB) January 26, 2015 -- There is a possibility that this product may contain undeclared peanut allergens. Any purchases of this product made since November 2014 may be affected by this recall.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. There is no health risk associated with these products for individuals without an allergy to peanuts.
“We are advising customers who purchased this product to return it for an immediate refund or replacement,” stated Price Rite spokesperson Karen Meleta. “Although this may not cause an immediate health risk if ingested, we wanted to alert the public so appropriate steps can be taken.” No injuries related to the recall have been reported.
Price Rite requests that customers please check the labels of any private label spice products they may have purchased. Please return any affected products for a full refund or replacement. No other products sold at Price Rite are affected by this recall.
