Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) October 24, 2016 -- 17 year old fine art painter, Dimitra Milan, has been invited to paint live for the Pulse of the City Soiree, a formal gala by Banner Health Foundation on November 5, 2016 to benefit music therapy for Cardon Children’s Medical Center. Milan is part of the entertainment lineup that features an intimate concert with multiple Grammy and Juno award-winning artist, Sarah McLachlan. The Pulse of the City Soiree will begin at six in the evening and will take place at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Milan’s vibrantly rich oil paintings, whose subject matter varies based upon what the artist finds as noble, true and worthy, are quickly being recognized as powerful works of art that can provide an emotional and healing response. “Painting is my life purpose, and to create art is the ultimate way of expressing myself and my voice. I truly believe art is powerful, and can change the world,” says Milan.
Milan’s artwork will be put up for bid the same evening to guests in a silent and live auction. Guests will have the opportunity to see Dimitra Milan’s exceptional and masterful painting techniques come to life on canvas. Also available for guests are matted fine art paper prints with 50% of the proceeds being donated to music therapy in the Pediatrics Department at CCMC.
Milan’s whimsical and dreamy art has been donated to benefit causes supporting children since her art program launched in 2015. Unlike most 17 year olds, Milan now paints as a full-time professional artist. She has gallery representation across the United States, Greece and France.
