Protective Fashion Accessory Invented by InventHelp Client (SAH-508)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) November 15, 2014 -- For those looking for a way to be prepared when self-defense is required can now have a safety strategy at their fingertips, thanks to an inventor from Northern California.
"As a woman and a U.S. Navy veteran, I’ve experienced personal physical attacks, much like other women have, both civilian and military personnel," she said. "Rape is physically and mentally damaging. Many women are so afraid of it happening again that they become agoraphobic. They will not venture out of their homes alone. My proposed invention would look appealing and would also protect and provide a sense of ease and comfort. Many people have inspired and enlightened me in my lifetime. My goal was to leave this as a legacy to encourage women, assuring them that they can move on with their lives without fear, since they will be capable of protecting themselves."
She conceived of SAFETY WATCH BUDDY to provide a quick and easy way to summon help. As such, it affords peace of mind with regard to safety when traveling alone or in unfamiliar places. Furthermore, it is attractive and fashionable yet practical, making it a great gift idea for any occasion. Since it deters potential attackers, it protects the wearer against theft, injury or even death. Besides all this, it is easy to use and maintain at an affordable price. It also eliminates the need for a separate safety device. In addition, it is lightweight, portable and easy to wear or carry. It decreases crime and increases the sense of ease and comfort.
According to the inventor, she was inspired to create this innovative timepiece while she was considering the functionality of her watch. "I realized that with a few enhancements, it could also serve as a discreet safety device," she said.
The original design was submitted to the Sacramento office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
