Pulsus Medical Journals Celebrates Open Access Week: Harnessing the Healthcare Research
(PRWEB) October 24, 2016 -- The Pulsus Group, publisher of peer reviewed medical science journals, is all set to commemorate the 9th International Open Access Week during October 24-30, 2016. The theme of this year’s open access week is going to be “Open in Action”. The Open Access Week Advisory Committee propounded this theme, with the aim to increase the transparency in the process of peer review and publication in Open access journals. Pulsus celebrates open access and works to make healthcare information open access, we request scholars, editors, Authors and reviewers to participate in this campaign and share their knowledge and experience with us.
The International Open Access Week was conceptualized by academic partners in the scholarly community in 2008. The idea behind the initiation of this program was to ameliorate the process of raising visibility of scholarship, accelerating scientific research, and preluding research innovations. International Open Access Week is an international academic program, which is propagated on a global scale to increase awareness regarding the benefits of open access publication.
The “Open in Action” theme will also educate researchers, librarians, students, and scientists on the possible research and career benefits of choosing open access publishing system. The 8th International Open Access week was celebrated with the theme of “Open for Collaboration”. The initiatives taken by open access publishers in the last year showcased the real time impact of Open Access publications in acquiring better working collaborations with highly reputed researchers and institutes.
The Pulsus Group was established in 1984 and some of its journals have been opted as the official publications partners of several national and international medical societies. The Plastic Surgery journal publishes the official publications related to Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Experts speculate that programs like the International Open Access Week will be highly helpful in inculcating genuine research and publication practices among researchers and publishers all over the world.
