Quattrolifts ‘Express 150’ Glass Lifting And Handling Trolleys From Packline Materials Handling
(PRWEB) November 17, 2014 -- New to Packline Materials Handling, the ‘Quattrolifts Express 150’ glass handling trolley, allows a single glazier to unload, transport and install large plates of glass. With a lifting capacity of 150 kg, this innovative glass lifter can rotate glass measuring up to 3000 mm with adjustments for side and top pocket glazing.
The ‘Quattrolifts Express 150’ glass handling equipment is a small portable lifter allowing one man to move glass plates weighing up 100kg or two men up to 150kg.
This compact glass handling equipment can be loaded onto a truck in two 15kg parts and assembled in under a minute. The lifter can then unload plates off the truck and then transport plates and windows on site. Large pneumatic wheels allow for rough ground and the wheelbase can be adjusted to allow for narrow walkways.
The glass plate or window can be rotated 360 degrees - the operator can also index the glass allowing him access through standard 90cm wide doorways.
The ‘Quattrolifts Express 150’ is designed to allow glaziers to unload, transport and install large plates of glass:
• Lifting capacity = 150kg (330lbs).
• Rotates glass measuring up to 3000mm (120").
• Adjusts to allow for side and top pocket glazing.
Harry Richardson from Ultimate Glass was impressed when using the Express to transport a 100kg IGU (insulated glass unit) on his own: “In these tough times, the Express allows me to do more work with less people and with greater safety. I’m going to use the Express to install balustrading with just two operators. Each plate weighs about 80 to 100kg.”
Handling glass plates and windows can be a back breaker due to the weight and dimension of the plates and the uneven grounds of construction sites. The methods to deliver plates haven’t changed in decades even with windows now getting heavier and larger.
