Radford, Va (PRWEB) November 17, 2015 -- RADFORD, VIRGINIA, NOVEMBER 16, 2015 - Radford University is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of an online format for its criminal justice graduate program in addition to its current on-campus graduate program. Students will be able to choose between a Master of Arts or a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and they will receive online instruction from the same instructors who teach the on-campus classes. Students participating in the masters program will have the option of completing a Certification in Crime Analysis.
Radford University launched its brick-and-mortar criminal justice graduate program in 1983, and it is the second oldest such program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Radford University is also one of just five universities across the nation to receive certification by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences for its Master of Arts and Master of Science programs in criminal justice.
The online classes will commence in Fall 2016, and admission and completion criteria will remain the same as for on-campus M.A. and M.S. classes. Students will have the flexibility and convenience of attending classes without traveling to the Radford University campus, making it an ideal option for working professionals who want to continue working on their career while furthering their education. Students who complete two classes during each fall, spring, and summer semesters will earn their degree in two years.
Courses within the program are designed to provide students with the strong research skills, among other skills, that are needed to understand every facet of criminal justice today. Students receive and develop a bank of knowledge pertaining to crime and ancillary issues.
The criminal justice faculty at Radford University has been recognized for excellence in teaching and research. Alumni of the Criminal Justice program hold positions in local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies. Other programs offered by the Criminal Justice Department include an undergraduate major in criminal justice, undergraduate minors in criminal justice and forensic studies, and a graduate certificate in crime analysis.
Radford University is pleased to announce the new online criminal justice program, an announcement that follows the commencement of the university’s online Master’s in Design Thinking and MBA program.
