Results Physiotherapy Continues Partnership with Special Olympics
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 17, 2018 -- Results Physiotherapy, a leader in providing top-quality physical therapy services, is excited to continue its partnership with Special Olympics. Results will continue into its second year as supporter of the organization and for the first time provide on-site support at the State Summer Games for Special Olympics Tennessee. The games will take place May 18-19, 2018 at Lipscomb University.
“Here at Results, we believe that movement is medicine,” said Tony Ueber, President and CEO of Results Physiotherapy. “Our team is proud to work with Special Olympics to provide direct access to our physical therapy services, so the athletes can continue doing the things they love, pain free.”
Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants from the Results team will be onsite at the Summer Games providing support to athletes and spectators as needed. All are welcome to visit the Results tent and receive consultative services if experiencing musculoskeletal discomfort or pain, and receive suggestions and demonstrations from licensed PTs on possible exercises and approaches to improve strength, mobility, and remain pain free.
“When our participants are able to experience unity from a team and see how their contributions make an impact, they begin to see themselves for their abilities, rather than their disabilities,” said Adam Germek, President of Special Olympics Tennessee. “We are thrilled to partner with companies like Results Physiotherapy who share our same desire to encourage people to be active and keep our participants healthy.
“We are thankful for this partnership with Results Physiotherapy and their team members,” continues Germek, “and their support in helping to communicate the Special Olympics mission throughout Tennessee. Aligning with health-oriented community partners reinforces one of Special Olympics main pillars, Healthy Athletes.”
Results supports Special Olympics across the Southeast in many of their 150 clinics. In its first year of collaboration, the company served as a financial sponsor and participated in numerous events including bowling with NFL Alumni in Texas and a Bocce Ball Bash in South Carolina. This year, the company will also participate in the Corporate Challenge and will compete in various events to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics across Tennessee.
