Retro favourites return in online pick ‘n’ mix Sweet Factore launches ultimate sweet shop
Manchester (PRWEB UK) 14 March 2014 -- If you still dream of the sweets you loved as a child but thought they were gone forever, then get ready for a confectionary celebration because they’re back – and you can buy them all in the same place.
Just like the corner shop where you could choose a mix-up from the huge variety on offer, online sweet shop Sweet Factore has brought together all the old favourites alongside new tastes, hard-to-find American candy, chocolate, and personalised wedding and gift sweet treats.
The brand new http://www.sweetfactore.co.uk website allows you to fill your virtual bag with goodies, keep tabs on how much you’re spending and arrange fast delivery of your bespoke pick ‘n’ mix.
Sweet Factore is the brainchild of John Murphy, who supplied fun food and equipment for five years to parties and events organised for celebrities like JLS, broadcasters ITV, the BBC, Channel 4 and shows like This Morning, plus well-known brands including Sony Music, HMV, Hollister Medical, New Look, Topshop, Heinz, Office Depot and 3 Mobile.
The business provided pick ‘n’ mix stands, candy floss and popcorn carts, chocolate fountains and promotional sweets and giveaways from John’s base in Greater Manchester to private and corporate customers across the UK. But last year, he sold the company to follow his dream of creating the ultimate online sweet shop.
John said: “It all started when I got married. We wanted sweets at our wedding back in 2008 and candy or sweetie table displays were just starting to come to the UK, but we wanted something bigger.”
“I sourced a bright and colourful standalone pick ‘n’ mix stand that held a massive 80kg of sweets, so we ordered it put it on the net for hire and we took two bookings before we even had delivery of it.”
“We grew the business as much as we could, we supplied around 270 events a year but having a successful online sweet shop was always the main goal for us.”
Sweet Factore initially started last year, selling sweets via eBay and Amazon and the huge demand and response from sweet-lovers convinced John that he needed a dedicated website.
He said: “Some of the sweets are hard to come by in the high street these days. Even dedicated high street sweet shops only stock a couple of hundred varieties at any one time, but our range is growing week on week and we offer super fast next day delivery where required.”
More than 450 different lines of sweets, including those hard to find retro sweets we all remember from the corner shop, are now available to a new generation at the click of a mouse at http://www.sweetfactore.co.uk. You’ll also find personalised sweet jars, chocolate bars and confectionary hampers, plus boiled and hard sweets, sherbert and popping candy, soft and chewy sweets, American sweets and seasonal specials.
John said: “We ship to the UK and Ireland, and we’re looking at worldwide shipment in the near future. “I have always been a fan of sweets, but these days I tend not to eat too many – after five years of working with them, the need for a sugar rush wears off!”
