Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 01, 2014 -- REX President Michael Segreti announced today that REX Electric & Technologies, LLC has formed another strategic alliance, the second this year, this time with Edgewood Electric, a Michigan-based design/build electrical contractor.
Edgewood Electric LLC focuses on design/build projects and has significant ongoing work in Michigan and in the Pittsburgh area. Edgewood has nearly 100 employees, split fairly evenly between Michigan and Pittsburgh. The company has handled many successful projects throughout the nation and abroad, in Mexico, England, Brazil and Australia.
“We are very pleased to be working with REX Electric and look forward to many successful projects ahead,” noted Brian Kiley, Edgewood’s Managing Member.
According to Segreti, this alliance is designed to help REX and Edgewood clients realize better service and value for the electrical contracting and technology services provided by both contractors.
“We have seen growth in all of our markets – from our vertical industry sectors, including data centers, healthcare, industrial, schools and universities to other general commercial work – and we want to provide our clients with the best solutions to their electrical contracting and systems integration needs,” Segreti said.
REX’s first strategic alliance was formed at the end of February 2014, with Dairyland Electric Co., Inc., a Milwaukee-based company. Dairyland’s key areas of expertise include energy efficiency, voice/data, photovoltaic (solar power) and structured cabling solutions in many of the industry sectors served by REX.
Segreti said that REX is one of the nation’s largest systems integrators, as noted by SCN Magazine, and that the company has seen particularly strong growth this year in general electrical services, communications, energy management and voice/data.
“While our roots are in Chicago, we have been expanding our footprint to other markets and we look forward to working closely with the Edgewood team in throughout the USA,” Segreti said.
Edgewood was founded in the 1970s, Kiley said. He noted that Edgewood’s staff of licensed professional engineers differentiates the company from other electrical contractors, enabling Edgewood to design, install, and service electrical installations for all phases of construction.
“REX and Edgewood have tremendous synergies and we look forward to passing along added value and expertise to our clients,” Kiley said.
