Reynolds Polymer Technology, Inc. Adds Second Thailand Manufacturing Operation
Grand Junction, CO (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Reynolds Polymer Technology, the longtime aquarium manufacturer and creator of R-Cast® acrylic, is announcing the opening of a new facility to be used for the manufacturing, research, and development of acrylic products.
The new factory, RPTD, is a 3,000-square-meter complex that is located in the Siam Eastern Industrial Park in Rayong, Thailand alongside regional neighbors of industry such as Nissan and Honda. RPTD became operational on July 1, 2013 and can produce an estimated 500 tons per year of premium quality R-Cast® acrylic.
“The opening of a third manufacturing location, RPTD, was done to serve increasing client demand,” explained Matt Houlihan, Executive Vice President. “We have large projects in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America that require increased output and faster shipping times. We are going to manufacture and deliver our product with more speed and efficiency than ever before.”
The additional production resource comes at a time of measurable momentum for RPT, both domestically and abroad. In 2012 alone, Reynolds Polymer provided acrylic for over fifty custom projects in fifteen countries. Notable undertakings included the S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa, Aqua Planet at Jeju and Yeosu, and Avenue of the Americas in New York.
Reynolds Polymer Technology has several other developments in process for 2013, including a new website that will debut in late summer, additional team members in international locations, and the introduction of several innovative product lines stemming from its legacy R-Cast® acrylic.
