Roadway Moving Company Acquires Veteran Movers NYC
NEW YORK (PRWEB) March 28, 2018 -- Roadway Moving Company, Inc., the #1-rated, full-service residential and commercial moving company in New York, has announced the acquisition of Veteran Movers NYC. Re-branded as Veteran Movers, Powered by Roadway, the company was founded in 2011 in Brooklyn, by a former Marine and is staffed by U.S. armed forces veterans. The move demonstrates Roadway’s ability to merge an aggressive growth strategy with its ethos of corporate social responsibility, with plans to hire additional veterans from the Metro NY area. The new company will maintain its current staff and move to the Bronx headquarters of Roadway. The company is also implementing a 10% discount program for veterans and current members of the armed forces, throughout the remainder of the year.
“A positive corporate culture and commitment to employees and clients is the cornerstones of our company,” explained Roadway President Ross Sapir. “This wasn’t just about buying a company for the sake of an acquisition. Veteran Movers mirrors my own passion of building businesses and growth through integrity and trust. It’s essential for me to truly believe in whomever I’m joining forces with from a vision and principles perspective, and, Jesse Gartman and his team of veterans deliver this.”
Jesse Gartman is the founder of Veteran Movers and a four-year marine who served in Iraq. He will stay on as the GM of Veteran Movers Power by Roadway, reporting directly Sapir.
“We have big things planned for Jesse. For the next few months, he’s going to train in each of the Roadway departments, learning every aspect of our business, much like I did in my early career.” The two-year business plan includes Gartman opening a Veteran Movers Powered by Roadway in Texas.
“Ross and his team truly saw the value of my company’s brand and the level of importance that it is on a personal level to employ more vets and help them stay employed,” said Gartman. “Ross honestly saved my life, too, putting me and the company which I care for so deeply, in a position to succeed with his mentorship and Roadway’s far-reaching reputation and resources.”
With the acquisition, the award-ranked Roadway will continue to be a separate company. Both companies will provide exceptional service delivered by a team of efficient, experienced, and reliable movers. Through the utilization of modern moving technologies, including air-conditioned storage, Roadway Black (white glove services for high-end valuables), eco-friendly moving container options and properly equipped trucks, Roadways delivers on its “Nice Way Promise,” ensuring customers’ belongings are transported safely and without compromise.
