Robbins Gioia Appraised at CMMI Level 2
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) March 12, 2015 -- Robbins Gioia (RG) is proud to announce that its Systems Engineering and IT Development unit was recently rated at Level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration. RG’s appraisal was performed by Boris Mutafelija, Principal Member at Process Improvement & Compliance, LLC.
This level 2 maturity rating indicates that RG is performing at a “managed” level. With a level 2 rating, projects have processes that are planned and executed in accordance with policy, that employ skilled people with adequate resources to produce controlled outputs, and involve the relevant stakeholders. The projects undertaken by an organization with a level 2 rating are monitored, controlled, and reviewed, and are then evaluated for alignment and adherence to their process descriptions.
RG has built its reputation on helping private and public organizations successfully achieve their toughest, riskiest, and most critical initiatives for more than 30 years. “Achieving a CMMI for Development Maturity Level 2 rating is an important step for us,” says James Wong, Director of Capability Maturity and the CMMI program lead. “What we have done is demonstrate that our Systems Engineering and IT Development can deliver a development project with a mature and comprehensive approach. This allows us to deliver solutions that are built upon processes which we have measured against the CMMI. Next, we will work towards Maturity Level 3 by solidifying standard processes for the organization to leverage as we continually deliver high quality solutions to our clients.”
The CMMI Institute, a subsidiary of Carnegie Mellon University, is dedicated to elevating organizational performance through best-in-class solutions to real-world challenges. The Institute is the home of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development, Services, and Acquisition; the People Capability Maturity Model; and the Data Management Maturity Model (DMM), which are capability improvement models that create high-performance, high-maturity cultures. The models are used in thousands of organizations worldwide to deliver business results that serve as differentiators in the global market.
