Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern Plans Significant Growth in 2015
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) February 05, 2015 -- Five new locations, restaurant remodels, and a strong focus on job recruitment are all part of Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern’s significant growth plan for 2015.
“2015 will be a banner year for the Rusty Bucket business and our current and future team members,” said Gary Callicoat, president and founder of Rusty Bucket. “While we have grown steadily since our founding in 2002, the upcoming year represents our most aggressive growth strategy to date.”
Callicoat, a restaurant industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, including seven years working directly at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and 13 years as the president of Rusty Bucket with the support of Cameron Mitchell. He leads a team of more than 1,300 full-time and part-time associates at the company, which currently has more than 17 locations in four states.
Prior to 2015, Rusty Bucket was growing by two restaurants a year and is now on track to open approximately five locations in both 2015 and 2016. During the next three years, Rusty Bucket plans to expand to more than 30 locations across the Midwest, Florida, North Carolina and Denver, with projected annual sales exceeding $70 million.
New restaurant locations and remodels
This year, Rusty Bucket will open five new restaurants, including two new Michigan locations, a new Cincinnati location, as well as a second Florida location. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Rusty Bucket is also expanding to the Tar Heel state, North Carolina. New locations and planned opening dates include:
• Northville Park Place, Mich., June 2015
• Bingham Farms, Mich., August 2015
• Sharon Square – SouthPark, Charlotte N.C., September 2015
• Liberty Center – West Chester, Ohio, October 2015
• The Mall at University Town Center – Sarasota, Fla., winter 2015
• Clintonville, Ohio, spring 2016
In addition to new store openings, Rusty Bucket will remodel three restaurants in 2015 to incorporate new concept design enhancements with soft accents and a warm atmosphere. The New Albany, Ohio, location will receive an extensive seven-week remodel, which started in January. Rookwood Pavilion in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Northville in Michigan will also receive facelifts this year to receive a fresh look similar to other remodels, including new light fixtures, fireplaces, patios with comfortable, soft seating, and new all-wood tables inside.
Job recruitment and career development
Recruitment will be a top priority for Rusty Bucket in 2015. More than 50 managers and approximately 900 associates will be hired this year to fill positions within the new and existing restaurant locations. Additionally, Rusty Bucket will add a regional director, regional chef, training manager, beverage manager, and field marketing coordinator as part of its home office staff in Columbus.
“We are always looking to speak with great people who share our passion for the industry and our company culture,” said Kristen Hinshaw, human resources manager, Rusty Bucket. “Consistently promoting 75 percent from within, we strive to develop managers and leaders from the first day of training and every day after. At Rusty Bucket, we offer the opportunity to learn, grow and advance in a creative atmosphere that is fun, emphasizes quality, and rewards our associates.”
Rusty Bucket offers associates generous benefits packages and proper training, including hands-on experience and guidance from an experienced managerial team.
“When we opened our first restaurant in 2002, we set forth a mission to create a brand and a true neighborhood gathering spot that serves great comfort food and that resonates with our variety of guests,” said Callicoat. “We look forward to bringing Rusty Bucket to more cities and continued success in 2015. This is just the beginning of our national growth plan.”
