Rusty Hix Tells Readers "No Adventure Too Ridiculous"
TAMPA, Fla. (PRWEB) May 04, 2017 -- Rusty Hix first developed his love of travel and adventure when he accompanied his family across the United States as a young boy. As he matured into a young man, Hix began traveling internationally to feed his curiosity for understanding the world’s greatest mysteries. He shares this amazing experience in “No Adventure Too Ridiculous: Mad Tales from a Lifetime of Travel” (published by Archway Publishing), a travel memoir that celebrates one man’s escapades as he explores far-flung places on a legendary and sometimes farcical adventure around the world.
The book chronicles Hix’s not-so-typical travel tales of helicoptering over the geothermal areas of New Zealand, zip-lining, kayaking and whitewater rafting in Costa Rica and visiting pagodas, Buddhist temples and the Great Wall in China. He also describes many of his wild experiences that include a panda sitting on his lap, vertical caving, sky diving, climbing the world’s highest structure and a serious car accident that nearly cost him his life. Hix also details the food, customs and behavior of people within a variety of cultures along with vivid descriptions of the scenery where it all takes place.
“In my book, readers will learn about a variety of places that most people will want to visit and they will read about extreme adventures that most will never undertake,” Hix shares. “They will laugh and maybe even cry.”
“No Adventure Too Ridiculous” is a collection of stories that range from absurd shenanigans to extreme adventures topped off with doses of history, humor and survival. Hix hopes to entertain readers with his travel stories and would like them to realize that there is joy and knowledge in making an effort to explore the world.
