RYOBI Print Manager from Tokyo, Japan Tours Braintree Printing
Braintree, MA (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- Braintree Printing, a long-time leader in the digital and offset printing industry and a 3D print provider, recently welcomed Kozac Takata, manager of international sales for RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology. Takata, who is from Tokyo, Japan where the headquarters of RYOBI is located, visited Braintree Printing as part of multi-stop campaign to tour customer sites and see firsthand how RYOBI color printing presses are being used in the United States.
RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology is a joint venture forged in 2014 between RYOBI and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Printing & Packaging Machinery to integrate sheet-fed offset printing equipment. Takata stopped by Braintree Printing to see RYOBI’s two 23”x29” five color presses in action. Braintree Printing installed its first RYOBI five color offset printing press in 2006 and its second, the RYOBI 755XLW, in 2011 to keep pace with customer demand for full color brochures, book covers, magazines and direct mail projects. The RYOBI 755XLW press can print 16,000 sheets per hour on paper stocks of varying thicknesses, from onion skin to cardboard.
Jim Corliss, co-owner at Braintree Printing, said a key feature of the RYOBI presses are their aqueous coating systems which add a protective coating on printed pieces that resist scuffing and intensifies color. Aqueous coating also seals the printed surface, allowing printed pieces to be cut and handled immediately when they come off the presses. “This is a huge advantage because Braintree printing specializes in quick turnaround. Some jobs are even printed and shipped the same day,” said Corliss. He noted that Scott Knowles, press room manager, has managed other printing shops using various presses and claims the RYOBI quality is as good as he has ever seen.
During his June visit, Takata said he was impressed with how well Braintree Printing maintained its RYOBI equipment and was equally appreciative of the company’s employees. “People are so nice and polite,” he said, remarking with pleasure at the full-color welcome sign announcing his visit on display at Braintree Printing’s entrance. “I have never seen this kind of hospitality and customer support. We will need to return this customer service to grow together,” said Takata.
