Salsa Labs Launches QuickDonate, A New Tool to Drive Easy, Repeat Donations for Nonprofit and Political Organizations
Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- Salsa Labs, Inc. (Salsa), creator of the nonprofit platform to grow and engage a base of online support, has partnered with OneID, a digital identity provider, to offer QuickDonate, a secure, click-to-donate tool for nonprofits to increase donation frequency. This new feature is in beta and will be generally available to all Salsa clients in October.
Email fundraising campaigns can be easily created utilizing Salsa's tools, and with the use of QuickDonate from OneID, supporters can complete donations in seconds, directly through their email. No forms to fill out, no credit card information to input, just click and give. This will help to drive even more efficient email fundraising campaigns for organizations using the Salsa platform.
Online donations are hovering between seven and 11 percent of all donations*, proving there is a huge opportunity to grow this channel to make fundraising easier and more efficient for both donors and the organizations they care about. And with mobile web-access exceeding PC-based web access in 2014^, providing simple and secure tools optimized for smaller, tap-only screens will put Salsa organizations at an advantage.
"We know that users abandon purchases and donations at an alarming rate, being tired of typing and re-typing personal information, especially on mobile devices," said OneID founder and CTO, Steve Kirsch. “With the deployment of QuickDonate on Salsa, OneID makes it easy to donate from the small screens as well as on a PC. This is a win for both people and organizations alike.”
OneID is a digital identity provider that lets people share their personal information where and when they choose. With QuickDonate, users click or tap to complete a donation, using the information stored in their OneID. Beyond the convenience and ease of use, OneID is highly secure.
"Salsa Labs is continually looking for forward-thinking ways to offer nonprofits new tools and services that will help further their causes," said Christine Schaefer, vice president of community and marketing at Salsa. "Knowing that completing forms over and over again to donate is highly frustrating and a barrier to meeting our clients' goals, Salsa implemented QuickDonate from OneID to make the fundraising process more efficient and effective."
