San Diego Goes Gluten-free for Celiac Awareness Night with the Padres and the Public Pre-game Party in the Tailgating Lot
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 19, 2013 -- On Saturday August 24, 2013, San Diego residents and visitors can join Gluten Free Calendar and the San Diego Padres for Gluten-free and Celiac Awareness Night. A portion of each ticket sold will go back to the San Diego Chapter of the Celiac Sprue Association. Game attendees can also purchase delicious food from the dedicated gluten-free stand inside Petco Park.
Gluten Free Calendar will be hosting a pre-game Celebrate Celiac™ event in the tailgating lot next to the stadium from 2-5 pm. The party will be open to the public whether attending the game or not and will feature Special Guests: Danna Korn, Founder of R.O.C.K & Best-selling book author and Nina Cucina, Your Healthy Gourmet cookbook author. Both will be doing book signings for the event.
The kids corner will feature a gluten-free cookie decorating station, games & a Celebrate Celiac™ coloring station. Guests will be able to meet local kids & teens support group leaders as well as their local Celiac Sprue Association adult support group leaders. "At these events, adults and children alike can find ways to celebrate this lifestyle they must live and meet others who are doing the same in a fun and safe environment," says Chandice Probst CEO-Gluten Free Calendar.
Title sponsors for the event are Udis Gluten Free and Glutino who will be handing out free goodies for all to enjoy. Lisa and Mo’s, Taste Guru, Nutrasumma, Bakery on Main and other local and nationwide vendors will also be in attendance including Vivianna Foods who will be giving out full-size bags of tasty gluten-free pasta to all attendees. Delight Gluten Free and Gluten Free Living Magazines are the media sponsors and will be sharing their magazines with guests. The first 250 people in attendance will go home with a gift bag for their goodies. Guests may even win some of the great prizes featured in the raffle contest including gift cards, gluten-free products and autographed books.
