Savision Announces Compatibility of Live Maps with System Center 2012 R2
Amsterdam, the Netherlands (PRWEB UK) 22 October 2013 -- Savision, whose essential add-ons for System Center help companies across the globe by transforming complex IT data into meaningful, well organized and actionable dashboards and reports announced today full compatibility with Microsoft Corp.’s System Center 2012 R2 for its suite of IT management solutions.
“Companies around the world use System Center and Live Maps to run their IT infrastructures,” said Diana Krieger, CEO of Savision. “As companies upgrade to System Center 2012 R2 they can be sure that Live Maps for System Center 2012 R2 will work flawlessly.”
“System Center provides enterprise-class management solutions, reduces complexity and infrastructure costs, and enables deep application and workload insight,” said Brian Hillger, Director of Product Marketing, Microsoft. “With interactive mapping capability powered by Bing Maps, and System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager integration, Live Maps is designed to help administrators determine the health of business services, the associated network components, and the source of IT alerts. In addition Live Maps offers management concise dashboards to understand and manage the business impact.”
In addition to System Center 2012 R2 compatibility, Savision recently launched a mobile offering. IT professionals and management can now access Live Map views and be notified of state changes directly on their smart phone or tablet with Live Maps Mobile for System Center, which is available for Windows Phone, iOS and Android. The Live Maps Mobile Console empowers IT professionals to keep track of their critical business applications even if they are away from their desks and lets them filter out unnecessary alert and notification noise.
“Our goal is to create software that adds business value for our customers,” said Rob Doucette, VP R&D of Savision. “We do this by providing tools that turn complex IT environments into simple and easy to understand dashboards and reports. With these at-a-glance views, our customers quickly spot IT problems, prioritize them based on the business context we provide, and begin resolving the issues – often before end users even notice. Management is able to quickly assess where IT is performing well and where a resolution is needed.”
Savision has integrated Live Maps into many international companies' IT infrastructures, including the Dublin Airport Authority and Idexx Laboratories.
“More and more companies realize that Live Maps is one of the most effective ways to keep their IT systems online so that problems don't affect their end users and business downtime is reduced,” Doucette said.
“IT performance and security are priorities for both Savision and Microsoft,” said Krieger. “Our collaboration with Microsoft is targeted at reducing unplanned downtime for our joint customers.”
