Seasoned Attorney Su Kang Graduates from Prestigious Leadership Academy
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) May 03, 2015 -- Su Kang, an attorney with Seiller Waterman LLC, recently graduated from the Louisville Bar Association’s Leadership Academy. The academy’s primary goal is to build a core of practicing attorneys in the greater Louisville area that will lead the legal community ethically, professionally and charitably, with high regard for service to the city and region.
“I went to the academy to take a more active role as a lawyer and to expand on my leadership skills and excel in my community service role,” said Su, who is licensed in both Kentucky and New York. “At the academy, I was able to examine important issues about my professional life as a lawyer, such as ethics, justice, and morality.”
The Leadership Academy is a six-month training program in its 9th year. It allows an opportunity for lawyers to meet and discuss important business and professional issues with leaders at the local, state and national levels. The academy, which only accepts twenty-two people at a time, also helps lawyers refine their leadership skills.
In addition to being a Leadership Academy graduate, Su graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law. She joined Seiller Waterman in its family law group coming from a successful private practice. Su’s practice involves divorce, child support, custody of children, spousal maintenance, division of property and debt as well as domestic violence issues. Su also volunteers with the Legal Aid Society, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse and Habitat for Humanity.
“It’s an honor to work with these outstanding organizations,” said Su. “With my training from the Leadership Academy, I feel I can further serve these groups to the best of my enhanced abilities.”
