Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation Launches Dr. Lucy Jane Miller’s New Parent Discussion Group Online
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 18, 2015 -- On December 3, 2015 the Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Foundation launched it’s new parent discussion group called Lucy’s Lounge, facilitated by Dr. Lucy Jane Miller. The first live Lucy’s Lounge was recorded in Denver, CO at STAR Center on December 10, 2015 where parents spoke about problems and solutions for social interaction related to their children experiencing sensory challenges. This quarterly group will discuss the remaining family sensory topics:
• Avoid Putting Pressure on Your Child – Launch date March 2016
• Easing Separation Anxiety – Launch date May 2016
• Overcoming the Loss of Your Hopes and Dreams for Your Child – Launch date September 2016
“It’s important for parents of children with sensory issues to have a platform to connect and learn about other parents’ struggles and solutions. Connecting helps alleviate the isolation that families of a child with sensory challenges often feel,” says Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, founder of SPD Foundation and STAR Center.
