Shaw Contract Group London Showroom Recognized for Environmental Performance
Dalton, GA (PRWEB) June 09, 2015 -- Shaw Contract Group’s new London showroom, Hub 33, has achieved Silver certification from Ska Rating, the environmental assessment tool for sustainable fit-outs within the UK.
An environmental labelling method designed to rate and compare environmental performance, Ska Rating was developed collaboratively by consultants, contractors and occupiers and encourages good practice in fit-out work. The tool helps provide accurate measures of sustainable impact to support the environmental management system.
Ska Rating complements other labelling methods such as BREEAM and LEED, and can be used in conjunction with other ‘whole’ building labels. Ska Rating for Offices comprises 104 good practice measures across Energy & CO2, Waste, Water, Pollution, Transport, Materials and Wellbeing, which are used to rank a space as Gold, Silver or Bronze.
