Shawnee Peak Cranks Up the Guns for the Best Conditions Around
Bridgton, ME (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- After Mother Nature threw a nasty curveball with warmer temperatures and wet precipitation, Shawnee Peak fired up the snow making guns to add to an already strong base and some of the best conditions in Maine.
For the past three nights, Shawnee Peak has been making snow on Exit 48, Kancamangus, Jack Spratt, Haggett’s, Sunset Boulevard, The Horn, Cooley’s, the Pine Slope, Peter’s Plunge, Lower Appalachian, The Gut, The Main, West Slope, Grommet Garden and Rabbit Run. That’s almost a third of Shawnee Peak’s terrain getting a fresh coat of snow each night, making the skiing and riding even better. So, even if Mother Nature isn’t bringing the snowfall, you can be sure that Shawnee Peak is taking care of it for her.
“We’ve got a really strong base to work with,” says Shawnee Peak General Manager Ed Rock, “and with the amount of snow we can blow, we’ll be ensuring some outstanding conditions for the weekend.”
Join us this weekend as we throw down with the WHEB Air Bag contest Saturday. Tubers will be hucking themselves into the Big Air Bag in hopes of nailing the strongest hit of the day, and on Sunday check out the Terrain Park as we host Super Hits Sunday. The event is open to the public and $10 is all it takes to show off your park skills.
