She Didn't Win the Crown, But She Wrote the Book
Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- ‘The Age of Elegance’, the story of a pageant where women age 60 and up compete for the title of Ms. Senior Tri-Rivers, is now available at eBookIt.com. The narrative is based on the personal experience of author Mary Jane Baetz, who competed in the Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant.
"I did not win the crown," the author says, "but I wrote a book." It's about a group of women of the age of elegance, their backgrounds, their talents and their philosophy of life.
The author was one of sixteen women who strutted the stage in dazzling gowns, recited their philosophy of life in 30-seconds, and displayed their talents to an audience of nearly 1000 people in Sun City, Arizona. "They were singers, dancers, a writer and even a sommelier," she said. "Their talent was impressive, and their personal stories were fascinating. I created a cast of characters for my book who are equally interesting. You don't find out until the very end who wins the Crown and the Title, and there are some surprises along the way, just like in the real pageant."
Baetz says almost every state in the nation has a Ms. Senior Pageant. The winners go on to compete for the national title of Ms. Senior America. Her book will entertain the casual reader who is curious about the pageant, but it is also a good opportunity for potential competitors to see what it takes to win the Crown in a Ms. Senior Pageant.
