Sim Shalom Rekindles #OurLightsforPeace Campaign this Holiday Season
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 21, 2016 -- Beginning on Friday, November 25th, Sim Shalom the online synagogue, kindles a universal holiday #OurLightsForPeace project with an interactive map of candles connecting the globe in messages of peace and gratitude.
Sim Shalom founder, Rabbi Steve Blane, begins the Holiday season with a joyful Thanksgiving Shabbat. As the days darken, Sim Shalom spreads light and peace with its online services. The #OurLightsForPeace project, which is free to all, aspires to create harmonious connections during the holiday season celebrated by all faiths and cultures. The world community is invited to participate by placing a candle with a message of peace on Sim Shalom's interactive map as well as using the hashtag #OurLightsForPeace. Beginning Friday the map can be accessed here and on the Sim Shalom Facebook page.
The prayer festivities include Sim Shalomers from four continents yet the service feels intimate as it travels across the globe with participation that includes a live chat feature. The evening will feature Rabbi Blane's ballad "Spark" whose lyrics sing of hope "that is forever burning you can see it's in you and it's in me" and his new original song, "When Hearts Listen, Angels Sing" that will be released on December 11th.
Using the hashtag #OurLightsForPeace the global community can share their message of peace connecting to others worldwide from any social media platform and device. Participants can access the map through January 2017.
