SmartDiagnostics® Receives Class I, Division II Certification
State College, PA (PRWEB) October 14, 2013 -- KCF Technologies' innovative SmartDiagnostics® wireless vibration monitoring system has received Class I, Division II hazardous area certification. The certification expands KCF's potential customer base by allowing its proven SmartDiagnostics® sensors to be placed in areas where flammable gases or vapors in the air may be explosive or ignitable, such as at petroleum refineries and other petrochemical plants.
"We are very pleased to earn this important certification," said KCF President Dr. Jeremy Frank "This certification allows us to bring the benefits of affordable, predictive maintenance technology to a number of industries that we were unable to serve before."
With the introduction of the Class I, Division II certification from Intertek, KCF will make available two models of its vibration sensors to commercial and public sector operations. KCF will continue to offer its current sensor to customers in the paper and pulp industry, commercial refrigeration industry, power generation industry, and the industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, which enables vibration monitoring for non-hazardous locations. The second sensor model will be KCF's Class I, Division II certified variant. The Class I, Division II certified sensor operates with the rest of the SmartDiagnostics® system without any needed changes or upgrades.
SmartDiagnostics® puts sophisticated, condition-based diagnostic monitoring (and its attendant savings) within financial reach of small- to medium-sized operators. The industrial-strength SmartDiagnostics® Vibration Monitoring System provides high-quality diagnostics that is easy to install and cost-effective to operate, maximizing productive use of equipment while reducing the risk of failure and unnecessary downtime and maintenance.
