Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) May 09, 2014 -- Smartlogic, a global content intelligence company, has opened its fourth office in Cambridge, Mass. This location puts Smartlogic within easy reach of its clients in the Northeast and near partners such as Earley and Associates. This move expands Smartlogic's ability to accommodate a growing client base, providing additional bandwidth for customer service and consultation.
"It was natural to open a Boston office," said Jeremy Bentley, Smartlogic CEO. "Many of our partners are in the area, which has a strong information management community."
Smartlogic has also added to its taxonomy and ontology consultation and systems integration teams with new hires Amy Sweigert, Joe Meree and Nelson Zambrano.
Amy Sweigert comes to Smartlogic as a senior information science consultant with more than 15 years of experience in the information management field. That experience includes content management, metadata strategy, taxonomy development and auto-classification at companies such as Microsoft and the Associated Press. At AP, she established an information management group and metadata strategy for the organization, including standard taxonomies and auto-classification of AP’s news content, developing deep expertise in news metadata, as well as representing AP on the board of the IPTC, a news standards organization.
Joe Meree comes to Smartlogic as a senior technical consultant with more than 25 years in the software industry. Meree has worked with many types of databases, platforms, and technologies, including Java, Tomcat, HTML, XML/XSLT, Python, Redhat Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, SQL Server, data modeling, integration, CRM and search. He has consulted with government and commercial clients to implement projects, systems and programs in a range of areas including defence, homeland security, intelligence and many commercial companies.
Zambrano joins Smartlogic as a senior technical consultant to help with product integration and professional services to clients. He has more than 17 years of experience performing all systems engineering life cycle activities. His eight years of experience in the Enterprise Search Engine Technology arena as a senior technical consultant will be a great value to Smartlogic, as he is involved with content management, search technology, enterprise search application, and other integrations with Semaphore. He also brings international experience with him, which will be a good benefit for Smartlogic’s global client base.
The opening of the Boston offices comes less than a year after Smartlogic opened a National Capital Region office in Alexandria, Va., and hired a new marketing team to hone the company's communications.
