Smartpress.com Invests in Customers with New Equipment, New Location
Chanhassen, Minnesota (PRWEB) March 05, 2014 -- Smartpress.com recently announced its move to a new, larger location to accommodate increased customer demand. The move made possible the purchase of additional specialty presses and allows for greater printing capacity to meet growing customer needs. Smartpress.com is a leading provider in online printing, offering a range of printing services that includes business card printing, wedding invitation printing and other custom printing applications.
Since launching in 2009, Smartpress.com has experienced tremendous growth, driving the need for a larger facility and greater digital printing capacity. The new 30,000 square foot building offered the company plenty of new space to add two new presses and increase printing capacity to satisfy increased customer demand. Additionally, there is space in the building to accommodate Smartpress.com’s projected growth for the next several years.
Smartpress.com’s move was only a five-mile journey from Chaska to Chanhassen, Minn., but it took more than a month to transfer the company to the new facility with minimal impact on customers. The move was also compounded by the fact that it took place in the middle of the busy holiday season. Throughout, the process was carefully calculated and controlled to allow print production and customer service to remain intact, from start to finish.
During the move, Smartpress.com also added two new presses. First, the company received the Xerox iGen 150 Digital Press, which delivers print at a faster pace and with a higher resolution, while offering the same versatility and high-quality Smartpress.com customers have come to expect. Then the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press arrived, which provides new print capabilities due to its 29-inch format and offers the potential for more competitive pricing on longer run digital printing projects.
“Over the past year, we’ve worked really hard to give customers what they want. We’ve increased our print offerings, added colored paper stocks and a silver foil stock, and introduced new white ink digital printing. All of that was introduced before we moved, before we purchased these two new presses,” said Chuck Reese, President at Smartpress.com. “Even with all we’ve done previously, I feel like we’re just at the start of being able to show customers what we’re really capable of. The new facility and the new presses are just a launching point for how we expect our business to evolve in the near future.”
With the new presses installed in the new space, Smartpress.com is working behind the scenes to produce a range of new printing applications, including brochures, posters and pocket folders leveraging the 10000’s 29-inch digital format. The company will also continue developing a niche market for booklets. These enhanced capabilities will assist the online printing company with nurturing new business from print buyers, graphic designers, photographers, freelancers and small and medium-size businesses.
