Social Good Startup eGood Celebrates the Launch of Fundraisers
Glendora, CA (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- California based tech start up, eGood, gives socially conscious consumers access to a community of partnered businesses, nonprofits, and like-minded consumers. eGood's basic platform is Ongoing Giving, in which businesses give 1, 3, or 5% of each transaction to a cause of their choice. To expand on their current platform, eGood is introducing Fundraisers, which is a new take on traditional paper-based events. With eGood Fundraisers, a business supports a local cause at 10, 20 or 30% of the transaction within specific dates and times.
eGood’s Director of Product and Marketing, Nicole Rohrer states, “We believe that we have something really revolutionary here. In this digital age, there is no reason why fundraising shouldn’t be sophisticated. eGood Fundraisers will enable PTAs, sports clubs, or any nonprofit to easily plan, organize, and execute successful fundraising events. And we do this at no cost to the nonprofits.”
eGood Fundraisers has some features that are particularly noteworthy. First, supporters can RSVP online for the event, letting organizers gauge turn-out beforehand. This will help the businesses staff accordingly, or simply let the organizers know that more marketing must be done. Second, nonprofits can organize teams, and reward accordingly. This can be used as a motivational tool to help ensure the success of the event.
