South Florida-Made Album Nominated to Music Award
Miami, Florida (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- One blind and talented individual who co-composed some beautiful stories for kids, one sound engineer who added high quality music production and effects, one dedicated voice director and one visionary that challenged them all to produce an exciting bilingual and bicultural production have been nominated to a Latin Grammy Award ® under the Children’s Music Category. Miami as an important source of artistic creativity continues to take shape.
Ed Largaespada, the executive producer of the nominated audio book, spearheaded the innovative approach to educate and entertain children with a bilingual and bicultural production. Jose Martinez, Antonio Cobo, and Heidys Hernandez were highly engaged in the project that combined education, music and production talent and provides a venue for the blind and those with visual disabilities to showcase their abilities. Julio Fumero, Oman Pedreira and Gerardo Ubieda displayed their musical talent and to collaborate in a multifaceted project. Jose Martinez played an essential role in mixing music and special effects to make the storytelling livelier and engage the listeners.
The audio book consists of four magical stories, both in Spanish and English, for children three and older. These stories form a series of highly entertaining adventures, filled with engaging music and sound effects that help children cope with some of the issues they encounter on the journey of growing up. Each story opens a channel of communication through the wonder of storytelling. This empowers children with self-esteem, values and ideals that will enhance the tools they need to become more productive and positive members of society.
The audio edition is narrated by Heidys Hernandez who recently obtained her degree in Psychology and is blind. “The victory of success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and achieving them, and this is one of my major achievements,” said Hernandez about the audio book. "This project promotes Professional Opportunities and Visual Disabilities Awareness," said Ed Largaespada.
The 14th Annual Latin Grammy Awards ® nomination were announced by The Latin Recording Academy on Wednesday September 25th, 2013. The awards will be presented November 21st, 2013 from Las Vegas, Nevada.
