STOP!T Expands Executive Team to Accommodate Growing Need for Anti-Cyberbullying Solution in School Districts
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- STOP!T, the wrap-around solution for schools and students to safeguard against cyberbullying today announced the addition of James Celentano and Jacquie Maggio to the company’s executive team.
With Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, Yik Yak, Twitter and other social media platforms putting children at risk, STOP!T fights back with the only wrap-around solution. STOPit empowers students to protect themselves and one another with an advanced reporting app (the app’s functionalities include direct contact with trusted adults, school administrators, law enforcement, and a 24 helpline); equips schools with a streamlined incident management system to safeguard kids and meet compliance requirements; and educates students, parents and teachers with cybersafe rallies and other programs.
Celentano joins STOP!T as COO and is responsible for the development of scalable products and processes, and ensuring the highest quality experience for schools, students and parents. James’ experience includes human resources leadership roles at The Madison Square Garden Company and Warner Music Group, as well as leadership roles at human resources professional services firms including Extensis Group where he revamped the firm’s service catalog, Hudson Gain Corporation which he founded, and Korn/Ferry where he was instrumental in the early expansion of Futurestep.
James has a long history of helping kids: he is an adjunct instructor in the Music Business Master’s Program at NYU’s Steinhardt School, and prior to that he was an avid volunteer at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), where he developed, staffed and ran a volunteer new business incubator for low income students. James holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and holds an SPHR certification.
The new CMO, Maggio, is responsible for the development of the STOP!T brand and generating revenue via all forms of marketing, including advertising, PR, partnerships, direct marketing, events, online and customer experience. Jacquie has been involved with STOP!T over the past eight months as a consultant, and is now coming on full time. In the past, Jacquie spent 4 years as Marketing Director for Residential Home Mortgage Corporation. Previous to that, she was a Co-Marketing Manager at Mars, Inc., managing account-specific marketing for some of Mars’ largest retailers, including Walgreens, Rite Aid, Kroger and Meijer; as well as leading the Vend Channel marketing nation-wide.
“Since the launch of STOP!T, the cyberbullying problem as school districts and parents know it has quickly escalated into an epidemic targeting the wellbeing of our students and children. As our platform continues to be implemented into school districts across the country, the additions of James and Jacquie will play an imperative role in our expansion,” stated Todd Schobel, Founder of STOP!T. “I am very proud of our team and growth thus far and I expect our expansion to rapidly increase as the 2014 school year progresses.”
