Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 04, 2014 -- The IHC Group announced today that the IHC Marketplace, an online agent exchange for quoting and enrollment of short term medical and individual ancillary insurance products, received stellar marks in a survey conducted in August. Over 65% of agent respondents gave the Marketplace 4-stars or better (out of 5), and the majority stated it was more favorable than other similar platforms.
“We are thrilled with all the positive feedback,” said Brian Dow, Chief Operating Officer for IHC Specialty Benefits, a member of The IHC Group. “When we set out to create the IHC Marketplace, we had just one goal in mind- to build an easy to use shopping cart environment where agents can meet the needs of consumers by providing multiple products and quotes without consumers having to fill out several forms. The survey results show that we’ve accomplished that in a very short time.”
The top three reasons why the IHC Marketplace garnered high scores are the ability to: sell multiple products in one enrollment session; customize rates for clients; and email a link directly to clients to review their quote and complete the application process.
Launched earlier in May, the IHC Marketplace features multiple applications built into one enrollment process, which means agents can preview a quote for short term health insurance with plan choices and pricing, plus the option to include up to three additional products with just a click; all at the same time. Currently, in addition to short term medical, supplemental products such as an Rx pay card, dental and accident insurance can be added into the shopping cart before completing the sale; saving time, increasing agents’ potential for more revenue and ultimately providing consumers with ease-of-use and transparency in purchasing supplemental insurance.
According to Dow, “Our internal data shows that 30% of the IHC Marketplace customers purchased two or more products.”
“In our opinion, from a technology and ease-of-use standpoint, the IHC Marketplace is better than anything currently available in the market and we are working on adding even more products and other capabilities that will enable it to retain its best-in-class position in the industry,” said Dow.
