TalkLocal Founder Manpreet Singh To Speak At Leadscon New York
New York, New York (PRWEB) August 21, 2015 -- TalkLocal’s co-founder Manpreet Singh will attend Leadscon New York to discuss best practices in local digital marketing. The presentation, entitled “Engaging the Closest Consumer: How to Unleash the Power of Local for Lead Generation” will include fellow panelists Jason Barrett of Go Local Interactive and Ryan Crosby of OGIO, and it will take place on Wednesday August 26.
Recently, Manpreet Singh has also spoken at SunTrust, CES International and The Pacific Crest Technology Summit; he is also a new contributing blogger for Leadscon.com.
“In this ever-changing digital terrain, best practices are always evolving. So, my presentation will focus on how to test strategies, track performance, and form partnerships that help stabilize lead generation outcomes,” Manpreet explained.
As president of TalkLocal, a local services marketplace that matches consumers to the right local pros in about 90 seconds, Manpreet has launched hyperlocal marketing campaigns in every major metropolitan area and has served consumers in every state. He lists search engine optimization, social media marketing, and lead generation partnerships as his biggest tools for attracting consumers looking to book local services such as plumbers and painters.
While Manpreet argues that “an engaging online presences is a critical part of any hyperlocal growth strategy, but too many businesses waste time and money getting unqualified leads when the strategy fails and missing about 60% of calls even when it works.”
According to Manpreet, he and his co-founders experienced the frustrations and risks associated with digital marketing first hand while growing an IT repair shop which one of the co-founders owns. Manpreet personally managed a substantial marketing budget but only saw mixed results. That experience, he says, is what inspired his team to launch TalkLocal.
The local services marketplace uses a pay-per-conversation business model. When a consumer submits a service request, the matching business gets a free lead preview with the option to connect with the customer live by phone for a small flat rate.
“Typically, by the time businesses realize that a marketing strategy is not getting them the types of jobs they need, it’s already too late. The money is spent and it’s not coming back,” Manpreet explained, adding that TalkLocal’s system is a “rare combination of performance based and low-cost.”
Having raised $4 million in venture funding to date, TalkLocal has served customers in 49 states and recently marked its one millionth service request call. It offers 50 service categories including roofing, accountants and heating and cooling.
