The Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM) to Launch Local Chapters
Portland, ME (PRWEB) November 16, 2016 -- Continuing to advance on its role as the leading community for financial operations professionals worldwide, the Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM) announced Wednesday that it will launch up to a dozen local networking chapters throughout the United States in 2017. In the program’s first year, IOFM will provide limited funding to the first confirmed chapter, an Illinois group, and 11 additional locations.
A local IOFM presence will enable these financial operations professionals to meet quarterly to network, collaborate, share challenges and solutions, and create stronger financial operations communities.
The program was inspired by IOFM’s Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay Conference & Expo attendees, who consistently rate peer-to-peer networking as a main reason for returning to the twice annual educational events. “Already the leading provider of training, education and certification programs for financial operations professionals worldwide, IOFM recognized the need to strengthen collaboration and networking within the financial operations community on a one-to-one level,” said Brian Cuthbert, Executive Director of IOFM. “As much as social networking connects us virtually, there is nothing that replaces the relationships we build and the doors we open when we meet and shake hands, and we wanted to do something outside of our conferences for the professionals we serve.”
