The Northern Group Announces Award of Steel Mill Contract in Texas
Westminster, Colorado (PRWEB) October 06, 2014 -- The Northern Group, Inc. is proud to announce today that it has been awarded a contract for the steel seamless pipe manufacturing plant located in Bay City, Texas. The project involves electrical, instrumentation and control work for the utilities portion of the plant. The Northern Group will perform work on the main utility substation, north and south electrical rooms, north and south chemical buildings, direct and indirect cooling systems, natural gas distribution, chilled water system, compressed air system, raw and potable water systems, fire protection storage and site distribution, irrigation water storage and waste water storage tank.
More specifically, The Northern Group will focus primarily on the medium voltage distribution, medium voltage motors, electrical distribution, motors/scale pit cranes, general power, cable tray, fire alarm, lighting, grounding, instrumentation programming, instruments and control devices, custom remote input/output cabinets, and a wireless HART system. The HART field communications protocol is a widely recognized industry standard for enhanced smart instrumentation controls.
