The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk Adds New Shopping Options
Shreveport-Bossier, LA (PRWEB) June 03, 2014 -- The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk is excited to announce the addition of Torrid, J. Crew Factory and Charming Charlie to the popular group tour friendly attraction in Bossier City, La. The outdoor shopping center connects to Bass Pro Shops and consists of 550,000 square feet of outlet shopping, entertainment, restaurants and more along the Red River.
The Boardwalk has recently opened Torrid, a fashion-forward, plus size women’s apparel store designed for women sizes 12-28. Charming Charlie is expected to open in November 2014 and is a popular women’s apparel and accessories store. J. Crew Factory is also expected to open its doors in November 2014 and is a multi-brand, specialty retailer for high end customers.
“J.Crew Factory, Torrid and Charming Charlie are great additions to The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk retail mix,” said Ashley Davis, marketing manager for Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk. “We want to keep the Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk a must-see destination for group tours to shop, eat, play and have a great time.”
The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk is a well-known group tour attraction because the Boardwalk provides endless shopping and dining, designated motorcoach parking, coupon books for group tours to take advantage of additional savings, as well as an on-site hotel, Courtyard by Marriott at the Boardwalk.
“Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk is an ideal group attraction because it gives those traveling with groups free time to explore on their own and shop or eat at their own pace,” said Erica Howard, tourism sales manager for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. “There is so much to see and do, it is definitely an activity I urge my groups to experience.”
The shops and restaurants at the Boardwalk are visited by 6.5 million people every year. The Boardwalk has more than 60 well-known stores including Bath and Body Works, Gap Outlet, Banana Republic Factory Outlet, Old Farmer's Almanac General Store, Maurices and more.
The Boardwalk is a stone’s throw away from Margaritaville Resort Casino with five other casinos only minutes away. Along with the many shops, there are 10 different restaurants such as Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro, Joe’s Crab Shack and Sushiko.
After a day filled with shopping at the Boardwalk, international visitors can bring their receipts to the Information Center at the Boardwalk to receive a refund of state sales taxes paid on purchases. The Boardwalk is one of eight Louisiana Tax Free Shopping Refund Centers.
